Thank you for your cooperation during Thursday’s Snow Emergency Parking Ban. The majority of residents played a vital role in assisting the Highway Crews in clearing snow and ice from the Township’s roadways, and ensuring safe passage for emergency service personnel and equipment, and the driving public.

The Jackson Police Department issued fifteen (15) citations throughout the Township in connection with Thursday’s Snow Emergency Parking Ban. The Jackson Police Department will continue active enforcement of future Snow Emergency Parking Bans.

Key Points:

 Street signs are erected at each entrance to allotments throughout the Township indicating there is to be no parking on Township roads when two (2) inches of snow is

  • The declaration of a Snow Emergency Parking Ban is announced two (2) hours, at a minimum, prior to taking effect through local media
  • Residents may obtain notifications on their personal cellular phones of future Snow Emergency Parking Bans and other emergency notifications by signing up for alerts at com.
  • Residents may verify the declaration of a Snow Emergency Parking Ban by checking the Township’s website (jacksontwp.com) and/or the Township’s Facebook
