Jackson Township government consists of three elected trustees and a fiscal officer, with an area of thirty-six square miles and home to more than 43,000 residents who take great pride in their vibrant community and diverse economy. Jackson Township provides a full array of services to accommodate its residents and business community. Jackson Township’s full-time Administrator supervises the activities of the Township under the direction of the Board of Trustees. Fire protection and emergency services are provided by full-time firefighter/paramedics operating out of the five fire stations located throughout the Township. A full-time police department assures the community is a safe place to live and raise a family. The Township also maintains a full-time Highway, Zoning and Parks Departments.

Thousands of residents participate in organized youth sports programs each year. The park facilities are constantly being expanded, and many community events are held throughout the parks all year long.
Amateur sports cover the full spectrum and are enjoyed year-round. There are five private country clubs and many public golf courses in the immediate area. Professional football, baseball, basketball, soccer, hockey and golf are within a short distance of Jackson Township.
