Located at 4811 South Park Dr. NW, next to Jackson High School, South Park includes the Jackson Bog State Nature Preserve. There are two miles of hiking trails that are accessible to the public. Trails leading through the State Nature Preserve offer a rare look into the pristine habitats of hundreds of plants that have survived the ice age. 

Park hours are dawn to dusk.   This complex offers two picnic shelters:

An application is required to reserve the either pavilion. The Jackson Township Public Works Department will issue all use permits to organizations and individuals.

South Park "A" Pavilion is located closest to the varsity baseball field.  It is directly accessible from the parking lot.  There are picnic tables (seats maximum 100 people), three charcoal grills and restrooms at this pavilion.

Township Residents and Non-Profit Organizations - $50.00 per time slot.
Non-Residents, For-Profit Organizations and Companies - $100.00 per time slot.

South Park "B" Pavilion is located closest to the Bog.   There are picnic tables (seats maximum 100 people), two charcoal grills at this pavilion.  The restrooms are located 100 yards from the pavilion.  There is also a small playground, a sand volleyball court, horseshoe pit, athletic fields and a concession stand.

It is not directly accessible from the parking lot.
